# Momblr

> Momblr is one place to find kids' camps, classes, sports, childcare, and activities in New York. Main live coverage is the Capital Region and the Hudson Valley. The homepage shows New York-wide counts, types, and featured listings. Browse defaults to the Capital Region. Near-you is miles, not region. Every listing shows the age range, schedule, and price up front and links out to the provider. Parents can sign up to be emailed when new activities open near them.

## What Momblr is
- A directory of kids' activities, not an agency. Momblr does not run programs, take bookings, handle payments, or vet providers.
- Every listing links out to the provider's own page. Parents confirm age, schedule, price, and safety directly with the provider.
- Momblr never labels a program safe, best, vetted, or recommended, and never ranks providers by who pays.
- Coverage: New York, by the ten Empire State Development regions. Live in volume: Capital Region (`capital-region`) and Hudson Valley (`mid-hudson`). A handful of North Country and Mohawk Valley listings exist (overnight camps tagged by the facility's county). Other regions, including New York City, are listed as coming soon. NYC is not modeled as towns.
- Homepage hero, type tiles, and featured listings are New York-wide. Browse defaults to the Capital Region. Near-you is miles, not region.
- Categories: childcare, camps, sports, classes, and other activities for kids.

- The feed is an object: `generated_at`, `default_region`, `regions`, `count`, `by_category`, and `listings` (an array). Use `count` for the current total - the number of listings changes as the directory grows.
- `regions` is a map of region id → `{ name, count }`. Parent-facing names, A–Z: Capital Region, Central New York, Finger Lakes, Hudson Valley, Long Island, Mohawk Valley, New York City, North Country, Southern Tier, Western New York. Hudson Valley is stored as `mid-hudson`.
- Each listing in `listings` has: `id`, `name`, `category`, `town`, `town_main`, `town_slug`, `county`, `region`, `region_name`, `lat`, `lng`, `ages` (text) with `age_min`/`age_max` numbers, `schedule`, `price`, `register_url`, `reg_note`, `details` (array of extra facts), `url` (the provider's page), `detail` (the path to the listing's own page), and `source`.
- A listing's own page is https://www.momblr.com{detail} (for example /activities/{town_slug}/{id}/); a town's page is https://www.momblr.com/activities/{town_slug}/.
- Facts and a link only. Prices, dates, ages, and claims are never invented; a missing field is left blank (empty string) or an empty array.
